With all the distractions in today's world, it can be hard to stay focused. My adult ADHD has been a huge part of my ability to multitask, but it is only useful if I can manage it. I have used CBD tincture daily for about 3 years now along with cannabis concentrates throughout the day.
Adult ADHD feels like having a to-do list of five things and doing 100 things besides the five things on your list. Every day, you work to keep it in check. The goal is to calm your mind and body to gain some control over your environment. I dab first thing in the morning to get my day started because it keeps me active while calming my mind.
There is definitely a misconception that cannabis “stoners” are lazy. But I am working in one of the fastest growing industries and I don't see anyone dragging their feet! Most of the successful people you meet have made steps to do what feels right for them so they can focus on what matters most. Pain is distracting, stress is distracting, not getting enough sleep is detrimental to your brain function and ability to focus. I have used cannabis to eliminate all these problems, and there is nothing else that helps me this much.
Let us talk about the negative side effects. Most medications have a mile long list of side effects. Cannabis is different but let us cut to the chase. Dosage is everything; over consuming can cause dizziness, nausea, paranoia, short term memory loss and confusion. When you have dialed in your optimal dose, there are no side effects.
How do you find your optimal dose? Follow these steps:
Your optimal dose is when you are getting relief from the thing you are treating, with the lowest possible dose. The less you use = the more money you save, the longer it will take to build a tolerance, you will feel better, and you will feel like yourself!
2. Pair your THC with CBD to help with inflammation, pain and to help combat the short-term memory loss.
3. If you are an experienced user and you are not getting relief from smoking flower, try full spectrum concentrates. You will get results faster and you might not need to use it as often.
4. When you feel relief from what you are treating, STOP. That is your optimal dose!
5. Keep a journal to record what you are using, how much and the results you are getting so you can refer back to it.
6. Take a “cannabis holiday.” Having two consecutive cannabis free days per week or 5 days per month can help keep your Endocannabinoid system working properly and keep you from building a tolerance.
7. If you are feeling negative side effects from cannabis (memory loss, dizziness, paranoia etc..) back off on your dose and consume less next time.
Stay focused, Stay elevated.
