Appalachian Sunset – A Strain Review
Fresh from our friends at Terrapin Michigan comes a new tongue-tickling hybrid strain named Appalachian Sunset. Given the region’s famous eponymous National Trail, my mind quickly wandered to imposing mountains, deep forest valleys, winding majestic rivers… a sprawling wilderness crying out to be explored. Is Appalachian Sunset a kind companion for your arboreal adventure? Let’s get into the thick of it!
I sat down on my porch, an appropriate locale for this rurally inspired strain. Settling in my chair, I got into character, letting the pipe hang from my lips a moment while I popped open the jar. Inside was a collection of vibrant light green buds which were springy to the touch. Fresh botanical scents wafted up to my nose that evoked sensations of a wild-touched garden, sour and snappy. I prepared a modest bowl to start and took a long, slow draw and let the smoke roll over my tongue. It was punchy but mellow, full-bodied with rhubarb-like fruit notes. My eyes settled on the middle distance over a distant forested hillside as the high set in. I felt time slow and my senses sharpened, taking in the essence of that distant pine-kissed rise. The cerebral effects quickly balanced with a warm and inviting body buzz. I relaxed more fully, satisfied, but wishing my seat was a rocking chair.
Appalachian Sunset is available now at Rize Marquette in ⅛ ounce jars, perfectly packed and ready for your next trip down the trail. You can find a direct link here, or feel free to stop by our physical location for an in-person shopping experience.
